The bank's own app or net banking — instant and free.
Watch out
Third-party apps are fine, but confirm the card number and amount before you pay.
Paying a credit card bill in India is free no matter which method you pick, but they are not equally convenient. Here is the honest ranking.
Autopay from your bank account is the best default. Set it once for the full statement amount and forget it. The only risk is insufficient balance on the debit date, so keep a buffer. Net banking or the bank's own app is the next best — instant, free, and it updates your available limit within hours.
Paying by UPI is the newest option: many issuers now let you scan the biller's UPI QR or use a Bharat Connect (BBPS) flow inside GPay, PhonePe or Paytm. It is instant and works well, but double-check the card number shown before confirming. Third-party apps like CRED also work and add reminders, but you are adding one more company between you and your bill.
Whatever you pick, never miss the due date — one late payment can cost a ₹500-1,200 fee plus interest on the entire outstanding, and it dents your credit score.
